  :: quote of the day ::

But when the time of the promise drew nigh, then God sent this Moses down there. And the people said, "Who made you a ruler over us? Why, you think you're someone great."
That wasn't Moses' attitude. He was sent for a deliverer, knowing that the time was there. And he thought, surely, the people had been reading their Scriptures and things, and they would know that the time of the promise was near, or been reading the promise of Abraham, that the time was near at hand. And they failed to read... Can't... Does...

But when the promise drew nigh, they thought, surely, that they would understand. But the people of God... Usually Satan works right in there with their understanding, and makes them dull of understanding. And there they miss God nine times out of ten.
But God had His promise there. Now, then when Moses went down to deliver them, why, they--they refused him, rejected him. And it cost them forty years more suffering. Isn't that right? Forty years more suffering. Moses run to the backside of the desert, of course. And after while, was finally called again of God when the people begin to groaning and crying. And--and then this same Moses, that they rejected and accept Pharaoh yet as their leader, this same Moses, God sent back to them to be a leader and have jurisdiction over them.

  :: unique birth ::

  THe Pastor. Blessing was born the second son of Noah and Erinela in the Eastern Highlands capital of Mutare. It was the second hour after midday that the pangs of labour began. It was in the harvest season when wild animals come to plunder the ripened crop. It was in the field in a makeshift hut that served as a watch tower. Erinela was in this hut-turned-watch-tower when a neighbouring woman dashed from her field to perform the duties of a mid-wife. Under the inspiration of Hebrew women's prophetic utterances during labour pains, the mother felt the little boy was unique. "His name shall be called Blessing!" she said some time later. She watched her second boy born the second hour of noon to preach the second coming of Christ and the mystery of the second birth in the spiritual battle field. The father Noah also gave him another name: Hama under inspiration for the meaning of the name "Relative and Brother." Today the family has been spiritually blessed with five out of the nine children believing in the harvest time Message of the Hour. He was born March 25 1957 in Mutare and grew among the five boys and four girls.

  :: conversion ::

  . The year 1974 marks the beginning of Pastor Hama Blessing Chesa's awakening to spiritual consciousness. Though he had been a Methodist all along, the revival fires of Pentecost that swept through his Pentecostal Boarding School left him seriously changed. He began to thirst and hunger for the God that can be experienced in real terms.

Four years later at a Teacher Training College in Gweru, he came across a simple four word question he had never been asked before. The answer to this question shook him to the very foundation of his own being. It changed him for life. Excited and convinced that the answer was nothing else but the truth, the young man started to read the Holy Bible like never before. Was it An Apple? The question put his heart on fire and felt that there was more to the Bible than what appeared on the surface. God finally directed him to a group of people in town who believed in the revelation of the Word by the Prophet William Marrion Branham who preached the Message of the Hour. The Lord filled him with the Holy Ghost in the following year of 1979.

Upon completing his studies as a secondary school teacher in Gweru, Pastor Hama Blessing Chesa went to work in the capital, Harare. In 1983 he was elected as Deacon and in 1985 God raised him to feed the flock of Eastlea Tabernacle as Pastor. The pastor has been faithfully toiling for the sheep of His flock and to date the flock is in excess of one thousand five hundred (1500) believers.

  :: ministry ::

  w. The Pastor's burden in his God-ordained ministry is the continuation of the Book of Acts as instructed by the Lord Jesus Christ in Mark 16. He desires to see the Body of Christ in its original stature of faith and manifestations thereof and holiness as in the apostolic days. He is at pains to reach out to every one in the remote parts of the country. To date he has missionaries preaching in more than 50 different places in Zimbabwe. Through an army of ordained ministers, evangelists and upright young men whom he sends all over the country to preach the Gospel, Pastor Chesa desires to see Message of the Hour preached and lived by Brother William Marrion Branham become a reality in our day and restore the original faith and its sincerity.

His greatest joy is to see a believer receive the Holy Ghost as the inside teacher and guide. He takes special interest in the youth whom he painfully desires to have a burning bush experience of the Holy Ghost at a personal level. He is always worried about the believer who does not want to go all the way to the Upper Room experience of meeting God

  :: Family Life ::

. Pastor Chesa is happily and faithfully married to Sister Chipo for over 25 years. His home has been blessed with 8 children (7 girls and a boy), and several grandchildren. It is through the contant support and care of his family that he has been able to serve the Lord Jesus Christ for more than twenty years.
