But when the time of the promise drew nigh, then God sent this Moses down there. And the people said, "Who made you a ruler over us? Why, you think you're someone great."
That wasn't Moses' attitude. He was sent for a deliverer, knowing that the time was there. And he thought, surely, the people had been reading their Scriptures and things, and they would know that the time of the promise was near, or been reading the promise of Abraham, that the time was near at hand. And they failed to read... Can't... Does...

But when the promise drew nigh, they thought, surely, that they would understand. But the people of God... Usually Satan works right in there with their understanding, and makes them dull of understanding. And there they miss God nine times out of ten.
But God had His promise there. Now, then when Moses went down to deliver them, why, they--they refused him, rejected him. And it cost them forty years more suffering. Isn't that right? Forty years more suffering. Moses run to the backside of the desert, of course. And after while, was finally called again of God when the people begin to groaning and crying. And--and then this same Moses, that they rejected and accept Pharaoh yet as their leader, this same Moses, God sent back to them to be a leader and have jurisdiction over them.

  Head Deacon - Alton Mudombo

Brother Alton was born in 1960 in Chivhu in a family of 6. At the age of 19 he had a dream on Rev 3. After 3 weeks he found a bible and read the scripture.Later he met a brother who gave him a pamphlet on 'Was It an Apple?' His life was never the same. He was then baptised. First elected to the office of a deacon in 1989, he has served in this capacity to date. He is married to Flora and the Lord has blessed them with four girls.

Deacon - Weston Makwara

Brother Makwara was born in Marondera in 1969, being a second child in a family of six. He completed six years of high school in a Catholic background, and soon after, entered into the world of banking. In 1989 a brother and fellow workmate witnessed to him, leading to his baptism on 25 March 1990. He has faithfully followed the Message ever since. The Lord blessed him with a good Christian wife, Hope in 1997. That same year, the Lord also took his dear mother home. Brother Makwara and his wife have been blessed with three children namely Rebecca Tanyaradzwa, Yoeshebel and Joseph Munashe. He was appointed to the office of a Deacon in March 2009 and looks forward to serving The Lord and His children in that role into the future.

Deacon - Blessing Manyeche

He was born in February 1974, in a family of eight children. He responded to the Lord’s call after a fellow classmate testified to him, and was consequently baptized in 1988. He then wedded  Eunice Tsitsi on 25 April in 1999. The Lord has blessed the humble family with three children, namely Ruth, Blessing Takunda and Zoe. He was appointed deacon in January 2010.

  Deacon - Paul Mawango

Brother Paul was born in a family of seven. The family had a strong Catholic background and was converted in 1986 at the age of 25. He was appointed deacon in 2003 and has been faithfully serving in that office. He is married to Gladys and the Lord has blessed them with four children.

  Deacon - Nyararai Makwinye

Bro Nyararai was born in Chivhu in 1960 in a family of eight. He was converted in 1982 at the age of 22 and his desire to be a Catholic priest vanished, He is married to Eustinah in 1993 and have been blessed with three girls.

  Deacon - Adam Moses Zvanda

Bro Moses is the youngest son in a Christian family of ten. He was converted in May 1990 through a brother who gave him a pamphlet called 'The Original Sin" and baptized the following month at the age of 24 at Shangani Mine. He is married to Eunice and the Lord has blessed them with 4 girls. He was appointed a Deacon in 2004.

  Deacon - Stephen Again Marunya

Brother Steven was born in 1963, seventh in a family of fourteen. He was brought up in the Methodist church but always felt a longing for the genuine gospel. At the age of 17 years, he was invited by 2 of his classmates who were Message Believers to church. On the 25th of December 1980 he gave his life to the Lord and it has been a marvellous change. For several years (since 1990) he served as a Sunday School Teacher and later Superintendent of the School till he resigned to join the Deacon Board in 2008. He is married to Landiwe and the Lord has blessed them with 3 children.

  Treasurer & Chairman - Ray Kadiwa

Brother Ray was born in 1954 in a large family of 15 children. He came to the Lord in 1979 and was elected as a Trustee in 1981 and as Chairman of the Board and Treasurer in 1983 in which capacity he has been serving ever since. He is happily married to lovely Rebecca Mary and the Lord blessed them with seven children.

Trustee - Kudzai Berejena

Brother Berejena was born in a family of seven under a strong Catholic
background. He received the Message of the Hour in Gweru in 1994, at the age of 19. In December 2001, he wedded his lovely wife Constance Precious Chipo
Nyasha and they have been blessed with three boys. He was appointed to the board of trustees in January 2009 and has served as a trustee since then.

  Trustee - Simon Carver Maraire

Brother Simon was born in a family of ten. He was converted in April 1978 at the age of 22 years and was appointed a Trustee in 1981. Bro Simon is married to Angeline whom he wed on 29 January 1983 and have been blessed with three children.

  Trustee - Samuel Nhamu

Brother Samuel was born in 1953 and raised in the Methodist Church. In 1978, he was invited to hear a message preacher at a house. The Lord touched his heart through the preaching of the word, and in that particular year, he was baptised, at the age of 25. He was appointed trustee in 1983 and since then he has been faithfully serving on the board. He married Loveness in 1978 and the Lord blessed them with five children.

Brother Simplicio was born in 1961 in a family of six. He received the message in June 1981 at the age of 20 years. He was appointed a Trustee in 1998. He married Beatrice in 1985 and have been blessed with four children, 2 boys and 2 girls.

Brother Moses was born in a Methodist family of seven. He received the Lord in 1994 at the age of 22. He was appointed a Trustee in 2003. He married Bridget on 27 September 1998 and have been blessed with five children, four girls and one boy.

Bro Wonai was born in 1977. He started teaching the Senior Class in 2OO8. He is married with three children.

   
         
 

Gift Gambe

Bro Gift was born in 1975 and came into the message in 1995. He got married to Str Alice in 2OO1. He started teaching Sunday school in 2OO7 and teaches the Open Class. He is also an ordained minister of the Gospel, ministering in Dzivarasekwa, Harare and Chiguhune, Gutu.

   
       
 

Dowsen Sango

Brother Dowsen is considered a ‘born-message’ (born to believing parents). He is married to Hope and has two children. He joined the Sunday school team in 2011, teaching the Open Class.

   
         
 

Luckson Daka

Brother Luckson was born in 1981. He received the Message in 1996 in Chegutu. He joined the Sunday School team in 2011, teaching the senior Class. He is married to Sister Shingairai and have been blessed with a lovely child.

Str Innocent was born in 1958 and is one of the longest serving members of the Eastlea Tabernacle Sunday School. She received the message in 1983 and four years latter she was teaching the Infants class

   
         
 

Eustina Makwinye

Str Eustina has been teaching the Junior Class since 2OOO. She was born in 1968 and gave her life to the Lord in 1985 while she was a form 2 student. She is married to our able Deacon Bro Nyararai Makwinye

   
         
 

Vallerie Mathathu

Str Valerie came to the message in 1995 and started teaching the Infant class in 2OO1. Str Mathathu was born in 1954. She is married to Bro Elias Mathathu and has five children and three grandchildren all in the Message.
